Ayodhara Village Reviews January 10, 2012
by Janelle Hill visit date:January 7, 2012 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "We loved the layout of the village setting and our wonderful house, but the children asked for a swimming pool. Perhaps the large pond near the reception could be a swimming pool in future. Also the restaurant needs softening as it is very bright and feels unwelcoming. The food was tasty but incredibly salty. I did tell this to the staff, but unless I speak Thai, then it will never change. Perhaps a little more English needs to be understood and perhaps spoken too, although I know this is difficult. Given there are no nearby alternatives for food, then the restaurant needs to be very very good and to cater for all the needs of the guests. Perhaps a few simple western options (low salt might help). If families are staying then simple foods are best (western children do not like spice very much but appreciate things like chicken sate and rice, plain roast chicken, plain quick boiled vegetables like carrot and broccoli). I am sure simple changes can help to make Ayodhara Village a wonderful experience. The location is wonderful if you want somewhere authentically Thai and out of town The boat trip is very nice, stopping at some of the more scenic temples and providing a great morning of exploration. But the location is cut off from any other restaurants. A two day stay is fine, but any more would be too much. Perhaps a pool and a more happy restaurant would help to keep people longer. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" | |
